About Me

Erika
National and provincial award winning journalist. I am a 28 year-old Print Journalism graduate from Sheridan College. I completed my eight week internship at The Hamilton Spectator on May 9, 2008. I worked as summer intern in 2008 at the Hamilton Community news. I wrote for four weekly papers, special anniversary issues and the community guide. While at school I wrote hard news and profiles, but I was best at the investigative projects I worked on. As a student reporter I broke investigative stories that led to important changes in the student union. As an intern and reporter at The Spec I've written features, entertainment, health, news, and I've been part of a reporting team working on murder stories. I'm currently a reporter for the Blue Mountains Courier Herald and the Meaford Express. Please tour this portfolio site for a showcase of some of the projects and stories I've had published so far.
